Wire Spine Bouquet
Using the Wire Spine technique, the designer creates a reliable and sturdy form, the “spine” that gives strength and shape to artful cascade bouquets. Sturdy wire is used to create the handle and body of the bouquet, and more delicate wire is attached to that, giving the designer attachment points to use to hold the floral elements. Create any form, size, and density you like! The Wire Spine will give your work stability and structure.

Ethereal Wire Frame Bouquet
This ethereal and sculptural bouquet technique will allow you to stretch yourself, expand your offerings, and create the artful, elevated work that you envision. This armature method will allow you to create transparent, floating "constellation" bouquets that have beautiful movement and negative space. Each flower is highlighted as it appears to invisibly float in midair- the effect is truly magical! These armatures can be used on their own or as part of a “hybrid” cascade when supplemented with natural stems.

With over 20 years in floral design, I can say with confidence, no matter where you are in your business, I’ve been there too! Having taught over 20,000 students, I am passionate about helping florists build their confidence and find their creative voice.
My aim as an instructor is twofold: to encourage florists to see themselves as artists and give them the tools to create incredible, impressive work, and to challenge the larger culture to expect more from floristry and appreciate it as an artform. All of my classes are offered to help serve these aims and to help elevate the profession of floristry.
